What I see.....In life there are no 'ifs'. All is written and planned out already. He (God) already knows what is happening and going to happen unlike us. Even if we change our mind, its because He had changed it and it was not due to our choice/doing. Thus, what has to happen will happen according to His will.
Only our sincere, one pointed heartfelt prayers from the abyss of our hearts can change a certain outcome, and that too due to His 'Karuna'/mercy. God is Karunamayi. That He will show if you are able to 'touch' him with your heart.
