End of a dialogue

A child (looking out of a window): Wow! Look! The breeze is so cool; the raindrops spraying on my face is so refreshing.

An elder (peering into the morning newspaper): Close the window; the furniture will be spoilt.

Life as we know it!

So beautiful, it actually captures the essence of life and how we fail to understand its beauty due to our materialistic mind perfectly!

Sanchali: It's sad that that is how life was.

Aswin: Long time, no see? How are you, my friend? Your observation is very valid.

Hehehehehe! I am rolling on the floor here... I first thought you said "thanda thanda" as in 'cold cold' in Hindi!

Then, I realized what you were trying to convey!

Says much!!! Wish we could retain the child's outlook to life forever!

Sri,

It's more about how elders/adults have changed their outlook/perspective because they themselves were conditioned when they were children.

As in the elder who is reading the newspaper (at least pretending to), was a child who must have looked out the window once upon a time.

Precisely abhi! Wish we the 'today's elders' retain our childness and accordingly shape our next generation... wish that cld happen :)

What is shown here is 2 different view points of the same scene - seen with different eyes; different minds. A beautiful contrast.

One is a child's innocent mind (spiritual mind) and the other a worldly mind.

Retain the child's mind and you will always see beauty.

Looking at this post, I have another perspective, in contrast with my previous entry.

The child and the elder can be one and the same person ...separated by time.

As the elder made the comment "close the window..." it could have triggered a memory from the past. The same elder was the child looking out the window, with the raindrops spraying on his face.

What changed?
